Zero-knowledge vault · Emergency access built in

The vault your people can open when you can’t.

LockTogether keeps what your family or team would need on your worst day — accounts, money, insurance, legal papers — encrypted so only you can read it. The people you choose get in only on the rules you set.

Free for one vault. No credit card. We can’t read your data, by design.

  • Encrypted on your device
  • Trusted people, your rules

What it is, and what it isn’t

Not a password manager. And not trying to be.

Keep using the one you have. It’s great at signing you in every day. LockTogether does the job it wasn’t built for: making sure the right people can get in when you can’t.

Use both. Your password manager keeps today running; LockTogether makes sure tomorrow isn’t a locked door for the people you leave behind.

When it matters

Made for the moments you hope never come.

Three situations, and what each looks like with the right people already in place.

A hospital stay

You’re unreachable for weeks

Your partner needs the mortgage login, the insurer’s details and your accountant’s number. You named them months ago.

With LockTogether: Give a trusted person access now, on a schedule, or only for a limited time, with a delay you can cancel before they’re notified.

Something sudden

Two people confirm, then the clock starts

Your delegate raises the request and a second person you picked confirms what’s happened. Nothing moves yet: a waiting period begins.

With LockTogether: The waiting period is 72 hours by default, up to 14 days. If you’re able, you cancel and nothing changes. If not, the vault passes on.

Your business

The one person who knew everything is out

Payroll, vendor logins, the bank. Your team needs in, and you need to know who opened what.

With LockTogether: Break-glass access opens a business vault immediately with a recorded reason and an alert to the owner. Dual control asks several people to approve together.

How it works

Three steps. You stay in control.

Set it up once. After that it sits quietly, private to you, until the day it’s needed.

  1. Step 1

    Fill your vault

Add what matters. Everything is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your vault password, before anything is sent to us.

  2. Step 2

Choose your people and your rules

Pick who, and when: now, later, or only after a waiting period. You can name one person, or require two to act together. Try it yourself.

  3. Step 3

They get in only when it’s time

You’re notified, and you can cancel while a waiting period runs. Access to shared vaults is logged, and you can revoke it whenever you like.

Who can open it

When

Jordan can open your vault right away.

Change your mind later? Remove their access and your vault’s key is replaced, so the old one stops working.

What goes inside

Everything someone would otherwise have to guess.

Not just passwords. The practical details that turn a crisis into a to-do list.

  • Logins & passwords

The accounts that keep life running: email, utilities, government portals.

  • Bank accounts & cards

Account details, cards and where the money lives.

  • Insurance policies

Who the insurer is, the policy numbers, who to call.

  • Identity documents

Passport, driver’s license, and the numbers people end up hunting for.

  • Notes & instructions

Where things are, what to do first, and a few words for the people you love.

  • Pro

    Documents & files

Encrypted files and attachments: wills, deeds, scans.

  • Secrets & environment variables

API keys and .env secrets for the systems your business runs on.

  • Business records

Business info, hardware and software, in vaults built for teams.

Security

We can’t read your vault. Not “won’t.” Can’t.

LockTogether is zero-knowledge. Your data is encrypted on your device, and we only ever store the scrambled result.

Your device

The only place it’s readable

LockTogether’s servers

Scrambled data only

Your trusted person

Needs their key half and your rules

Encrypted before it leaves your device

Items are sealed with XChaCha20-Poly1305 (libsodium). The key comes from your vault password, stretched with Argon2id.

Shared access uses split keys

When you invite someone, the key is split in two. One half travels in their private link, the other stays with us, encrypted. Neither opens anything alone.

Revoking really revokes

Remove someone and the vault’s key is replaced. Old links and wrapped keys stop working, rather than just being hidden.

Two-step sign-in and passkeys

Protect your account with two-step verification, and unlock with a passkey or biometrics where your device supports them.
